SNISS provides an array of flexible massive DNA sequencing services according to users’ specific project goals. The sequencing teams use state-of-the-art technologies to provide customers with highest quality data.
The SNISS Stockholm node operates Genome Sequencer FLX (Roche 454) and from September 2010 HiSeq2000 (Illumina). The Stockholm node (within KTH Genome Center) is certified by SWEDAC ISO 9001:2000.
The SNISS Uppsala node operates SOLiD 4 (Applied Biosystems).
Users are required to provide sample DNA to the platform according to the manufacturers’ requirements. The platform typically requires 1-5 microgram genomic DNA for the shotgun protocols. For more details please study the technical information at the manufacturers homepage.
Advanced sample preparation such as long insert libraries, RNA sample preparation, and sequence capture are also available. For more details please contact the SNISS contact persons.
